Administration and Project Officer

Are you the kind of person who sees a complex puzzle and can’t wait to solve it? Do you thrive on variety, where one hour you’re streamlining operations and the next you are assisting with College projects?

Mercedes College is looking for a dynamic Administration and Project Officer to be the operational heartbeat of our Business Services team. This isn’t just a desk job, it’s a chance to partner directly with our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Senior Project Officer to shape the future of our College. If you are a high-energy professional who loves a mix of high-level coordination and essential administrative excellence, you’ve found your match.

This is a permanent position offered at 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week), providing the perfect balance for a professional seeking a high-impact role with flexibility.

We are looking for a collaborative spirit who is ready to uphold the Catholic ethos of our College and brings:

Unleash Your Super Powers

In this role, you won't just be "handling tasks", you’ll be driving outcomes. We need someone ready to flex these specific strengths:

  • The Project Catalyst (Project Coordination): You will assist with key initiatives; researching, reporting, liaising with external vendors, and rolling out new programs
  • The Compliance Guardian (Operations & Risk): Precision is your middle name. You will assist with hiring agreements, the College bus service logistics, coordination of the risk management framework, and keep our WHS and Café statistics reports sharp and accurate.
  • Operational Nerve Centre: Serving as a bridge between executives, vendors, and staff to synchronize college-wide logistics and facility operations.
